We were commissioned to design and manufacture custom yacht helm-style door handles for the 7th floor of a prestigious private members’ club in London. The 7th floor featured a distinct nautical theme, and the door handles were intended to be a signature design element, capturing the maritime essence while providing a functional yet luxurious touch-point for the space.
The client requested door handles inspired by the classic design of yacht helms, tying into the overall theme of the nautical-inspired interiors. These custom pieces needed to evoke the feel of luxury yachts, with a sophisticated finish that would complement the high-end decor. The handles had to be crafted from premium materials to ensure durability, while maintaining an aesthetic that reflected the refinement and exclusivity of the members’ club.
Designing door handles in the shape of a yacht helm presented both creative and technical challenges.
